Enjoy Our dear friends in Efterklang has remixed our song ‘Icicles’. LISTEN HERE And as if that wasn’t enough we’ve also remixed their song ‘Modern Drift’. LISTEN HERE Aaaaaaand to top it all we all met up last week to make a video for all of you. A huge thank you to Andreas Munksgaard & Kristian Sidelmann for filming and editing the video. We’re are playing at ‘Huset i Magstræde’s birthday celebration , …as a special treatment our set will include a few songs we haven’t Here is the latest ONO-news from our rehearsal space:
A couples of weeks ago we played some shows in New York City. While we were there we payed a visit to Viva Radio. Watch the result: And thanks to Bear In Heaven for lending Nicolai the keyboard. These couple of weeks included shows in Aalborg, Randers, Esbjerg, Kolding & Naestved. Aalborg is always nice to play. It’s where we grew up and our families and old friends are really supportive of us whenever we play there. We do get a bit more nervous when playing for them but that only sharpens our attention. The show in Aalborg was also the first show that Flaekker has opened for us. He’s quite fantastic, you really ought to attend a concert with him if you get the chance. The next day we played at Von Hatten! That night was absolutely rocking and we had so much fun. Thanks to the audience and to Peter L. Nielsen for the photos of the show. The following weekend was kicked of by a show at Tobakken in Esbjerg. This show was probably the most improvised and surprising show of the tour so far. Nicolai’s keyboards broke down after the first song and while we fixed it Malthe entertained the audience with songs from the Danish television classic “Bamses Billedbog” (!). Later on stories were told of our last show in Esbjerg where strange things happened… The whole experience got a bit weird, but it was fun! We went out for a few beers after the show and ended the night at Kristoffer’s relatives’ house. Pitstop in Kolding was the second venue of the week. We’ve played Pitstop quite a few times and it’s one of our favorite venues in Denmark. Again Flaekker opened the night with an amazing performance!! And again the crowd was fantastic to play for. THANK YOU! The final show of the week was in Naestved. We had the pleasure to have both Thulebasen and Flaekker support us! We where completely blown away by Thulebasens performance and we can’t wait to play with them again on Friday at Voxhall, Aarhus!!! That’s all folks! Oh well, week 2 of the Danish tour is over. The weekend’s shows where at venues near Copenhagen so it ought to be quite a relaxing weekend since we could go home every night without having to spend long hours in the van. But it turned out to be a bit stressful anyways. We started of Thursday at “Forbrændingen” with some complications. First our support band Ice Age had to cancel due to illness. It was really a shame since they’re really an amazing band. In stead we recommend that you purchase their recently released 7-inch. Then our van broke down as we where leaving Copenhagen. But after a VERY short sound rehearsal we still had a great night. The audience deserves credit for their support! Friday we played at Gimle in Roskilde. Gimle is a cool venue with great sound so it was a joy to play. The local TV station from Bornholm came by to talk with us so if you live there you should keep an eye out for the interview. It should be aired in the near future. After our show we went to Copenhagen to celebrate our friends in Twins Twins. They’ve just released their debut album “Until Dawn“, which by the way is mixed and mastered by our very own Aske Zidore. Congrats! Templet in Lyngby was the last show of the weekend. Malthe woke up very sick but we went to venue hoping that he’d be better in the evening. As the hours went by it became more and more unlikely that he could make it through the concert, and eventually we had to cancel our show. It was the first we ever cancelled a concert and it wasn’t fun at all. We’re really sorry and we hope to offer a show or some other compensation to the fans that showed up. Anyways, thanks to Friska Viljor and Neon Girls for playing great support shows. |
